API Keys

Your API keys grant full access to your RateShield configuration and rate limits.

Creating an API Key

When you sign up for an account and verify your email, an API key is automatically generated for you. You can view this key in your Dashboard.

Regenerating a Key

If your key is compromised, you can request a new one via the Dashboard. You will need to confirm the change via email. Revoking an old key takes effect immediately, permanently blocking any requests using the old key.

Testing API Keys

To verify your API key is working, you can issue a simple GET request to the /healthcheck or /trial endpoints.
